 Since the early 1990’s, the world has witnessed a prominent and outstanding boom in international trade. This boom in international trade has increased expectation of service levels for symmetrical logistics services such as express cargo, door to door delivery and other supporting services in the transportation industry.
Our country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is blossoming from an economic boom and the improved climate for investments. Therefore, upon evaluating and studying the transportation market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the strategic plans of Saudi Post Corporation, a national pioneering company in the field of logistic transportation has been incorporated. Named NAQEL, it is the fruit of a strategic partnership between the public sector, Saudi Post, which holds a 51% stake and the private sector, Arabian Hala Co. which holds the remaining 49%. Unquestionably, such a merger has provided NAQEL with solid foundations for expanding into the transportation and logistics industry. With the benefit of Saudi Post’s mail network and the experience and management of Arabian Hala the potential for NAQEL is huge. NAQEL will set the standard in the market and industry for the modern transportation company.
Relying on its large and varied fleet of vehicles, its qualified staff and its advanced information technology backbone NAQEL transports the Saudi Post mail between all of the Kingdom’s cities, towns and villages reaching 4900 locations. The transportation is continually monitored through a tracking system from point of collection to point of delivery.
NAQEL is the main outlet of Saudi Post for providing logistics services in this field. Furthermore, Saudi Post is looking forward to NAQEL continually raising the quality in the mail industry, contributing to the national economy and meeting the governmental, commercial and Saudi society requirements.
Notwithstanding its youth as a company, NAQEL is proud of its achievements in hiring Saudis’ that constitute 75% of the company staff.
