Hadiy and Adahiee

The Service is not currently available.

Introduction

The tolerant Islamic legislation is distinguished by its teachings and acts of Worship, which correct the human behaviour and lead to the development of social solidarity, and the religious acts of worship, which are related to Udhiya, Hady, Fidyah or sadaqah to which all Muslims are required to apply in compliance with what Almighty God has ordered.
To help the task of pilgrims, citizens and residents and all Muslims in all countries of the world in performing the act of Al Hajj, Saudi Postal Corporation has sought to provide the service through all its post offices spread through all areas of the Kingdom and also through the company’s e- portal allowing any Customer with internet access to benefit.
This new service is a new addition to the services provided by the Saudi Post to its clients in accordance with the company's own plans to increase the diversity of services it provides whilst maintaining its high quality standards, believing customer satisfaction to be a very high priority
The service enables pilgrims to pay the cost of (Udhiya) and (Sadaqah) according to the contract between Saudi Post and the Islamic Bank of Development, which collects the costs, processes the meat (Udhiya) and delivers it.

Legal Rituals Types:

  • "Udhiya"
Name refers to the slaughtering of cows, camels and sheep on the day of sacrifice (Al-Adha), which is a confirmed Sunna of the prophet of Allah – Allah's prayer and peace be upon him - to the pilgrim and the others of Muslims, on specific days of the three days of Al-Adha, whether in Mecca or elsewhere.
  • "Al-Hadiy
The name refers to what is to be given to Allah in Mecca - The Holy Mosque – of what is to be sacrificed to be close to Allah -. "Al-Hadiy" is performed on specific days in "Al-Adha" days and the following days, or any day in "Al-Umrah", because "Al-Hadiy" is desirable in "Al-Umrah” and when performing Al-hajj, for "Al-Moqtaren" and "Al-Motamata" of pilgrims .
  • "Fidyah"
"Fidyah" is due on the pilgrim and "Almoatamer" if he leaves any of the duties of pilgrimage or "Al-Umrah", or if he did any "Alehram" taboos, and the ritual slaughter be in Mecca at any time of the year.
  •  "Sadaqah"
"Sadaqah" is a voluntary ritual, which can be done by the pilgrim or others, by their own choice and need not be associated with the pilgrimage so it can be performed anywhere and at any time of year.
  • Terms and Conditions:

    • "Al-Hadiy and Al-Adahiee" service is where the Saudi Postal Corporation, operates as an agent of pilgrims and Muslims. Buyers at post offices or through the Saudi post e-portal can delegate Saudi Postal Corporation to notify the Islamic Bank of Development and the Committee of Al-Adahiee project, together or singularly, to purchase the required slaughter, how to use the meat and how to distribute it to its deservers.
    • Saudi Postal Corporation will meet the customers need for the required ritual by immediately notifying the Islamic Bank of Development and the Committee of benefit from Al-Adahiee through its integrated systems and then transfer the monies to the bank account.
    • Pure Islamic law allows Muslims to entrust recognised people of competence with the slaughter ritual, whether "Hadiy", "Fidyah", "Sadaqah" or "Udhiya" and the agent shall perform what is required legally so it was possible to make an agreement between Saudi Postal Corporation and the Islamic Bank of Development to provide this service through Saudi Post offices.

    • The price of sacrifice is calculated through the Islamic Bank of Development, which includes the price of slaughtered animals, veterinary services and the process of slaughtering, refrigeration, transportation and distribution.
    • A percentage fee will be applied to all credit card transactions increasing the price of the animals. These fees do not go to the project and are not part of the sale price of the sheep. These fees go instead to the company issuing the credit card for provision of its service
    • The Islamic Development Bank distributes the meat of "Al-Hadiy" and "Udhiya" in cooperation with relevant government agencies to meet the needs of the poor of the Holy Mosque and sends the surplus meat to the poor Muslims.
